A Family-Owned Winery

A boutique family winery rooted in the volcanic landscape of Kos, where terroir, tradition & careful craftsmanship come together in every bottle.

The soil surrounding Volcania’s vineyards is truly one of a kind. Formed by the volcanic eruption of nearby Nisyros around a thousand years ago, it is rich in precious minerals such as potassium & phosphorus, which nourish the vines and contribute remarkable depth, minerality and character to the wines.

Exposed to the northern winds of the Aegean Sea, the vineyard benefits from the cooling sea breeze known locally as Dramoundana. This natural airflow moderates the microclimate and slows the ripening of the grapes, allowing them to develop aromatic finesse, freshness & beautifully layered complexity.
